General Information

The RC17 (Commercial), designed by Albatross Marine Design, has protected props, strengthened hulls for mooring alongside the beach, bow steps for beach access and for those wishing to swim further out from shore, the stern has been equipped with steps.

​

There is space for water toys and lots of open, airy (but shaded) space.

 

There are four distinct areas on the power cat:

​

  1. Upper deck

  2. Bow seating

  3. Saloon and

  4. Aft deck.

 

These areas give people options to be social or private, an important factor lacking in most designs. One could enclose the aft deck more for all-weather protection if required.

 

The RC17 has been designed and built to be a practical, robust, easy to operate and maintain cat.

 

In the owner's version of the RC17 the focus is on excellent, bright, airy, open, living spaces rather than over-sized bedrooms for sleeping.

 

There are options for either three or four cabins, two or three heads and an extra helm in the saloon.

 

The RC17 (Owner’s) is a superb social boat for entertaining family, friends and business associates.

 

The RC17 can cruise at 22–25 knots.

Propulsion can be diesels, hybrids and / or electric.
